Athletics Profiles

Privacy Policy

Effective 22 September 2026  ·  Last updated 22 September 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Athletics Profiles is operated by MountainPeak Ventures, LLC, a California limited liability company. This policy covers athleticsprofiles.com and the profile pages it publishes.

Questions, requests, or complaints: support@athleticsprofiles.com.

2. The account belongs to an adult

Accounts are held by a parent or legal guardian, not by the athlete. When you add an athlete you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, and we record the date, time, and the network address that confirmation came from, together with the version of the wording you agreed to. If that wording changes, we ask again rather than assuming your earlier agreement carries over.

This service is not for athletes under 13. Do not create a profile for a child under 13. If we learn that a profile describes a child under 13, we will delete it.

3. What we collect, and why

WhatWhy
Your email address and nameTo identify your account and contact you about it. If you sign in with Google, Google provides these; we do not receive your Google password.
Athlete first and last name, graduation yearThe profile is about a named athlete, and graduation year is the field coaches filter on.
Position, school, city or regionOptional. What a coach needs to place an athlete.
Measurables you type inFree-form fields you choose: height, GPA, times, and similar. You decide what goes here.
Photographs you uploadUp to fourteen per athlete: a headshot, an action shot, and up to twelve more.
Video identifiersWe store only the identifier of a video you link on YouTube or Vimeo, never the video itself. For an unlisted Vimeo clip we also store the privacy code that is part of its link, because without it the clip will not play.
Guardian confirmation recordDate, time, network address and browser identification, so the confirmation is auditable.
Sign-in sessionA cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not used to track you anywhere else.
Network address on requestsUsed to limit repeated sign-in attempts. It is not used to build a profile of you.

We do not collect a date of birth, and we do not ask for an address, a phone number, or any identification document. We do not knowingly collect anything about an athlete beyond what you type in and the images you choose.

4. Photographs

Photographs of a child are the most sensitive thing this service handles, so they get their own section.

5. Film is a link, not an upload

We do not host video. When you add film, you paste a YouTube or Vimeo link and we store only the video identifier. The video stays on that service under your own settings there, including unlisted, which works here and keeps the film out of public search.

Embedded players are loaded from youtube-nocookie.com or from Vimeo with its do-not-track option set, neither of which sets advertising cookies for the viewer. The service hosting the clip will still see the viewer's network address and that the video was requested. Those are the only third parties contacted by a published profile page, and only when a profile has film on it.

6. Who your information is shared with

We do not sell your information, we do not share it for advertising, and we run no analytics or tracking on this service. A published profile is shared with whoever you give the link to. Beyond that:

WhoWhat they get
GoogleOnly if you choose to sign in with Google. Google tells us your email address, name and profile image; Google learns that you signed in to this service.
YouTube or VimeoWhichever service hosts a clip you added receives the network address of anyone who views that published profile, at the moment the player loads. Only the service you actually linked to is contacted.
Our hosting providerOperates the servers the service runs on. They do not have an independent right to use your information.

We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and we will tell you when we are permitted to do so.

7. Publishing, and what "public" means

A new profile is private. Publishing is a deliberate act, and it requires at minimum that you have added a headshot.

8. Keeping it, and deleting it

We keep your information for as long as you keep your account.

Deletion is real deletion. Deleting an athlete removes their details, measurables, photograph records, film links and the stored image files themselves. The files are removed first, so a failure cannot leave a child's photographs on our servers with nothing pointing at them.

One honest exception: routine operational backups may still contain a copy for a short period. Backups are retained for up to eight days and are then deleted, so a deleted profile disappears from our systems entirely within that window.

To delete an athlete, use the delete control on that athlete's page. To close your whole account, email support@athleticsprofiles.com and we will remove it and everything under it.

9. How it is protected

No service can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise. If we discover a breach affecting your information we will tell you.

10. Your choices

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we collect about an athlete or who can see it, we will contact account holders rather than relying on you to notice.
